The Rickmer Rickmers

Swimming Landmark

Enjoy a maritime adventure at the Hamburg harbor!

The “Rickmer Rickmers” is a three-masted freight sail ship of steel that was launched by shipowner Ricker C. Rickerms in Bremerhaven in 1896.

In 1912 the Hamburg shipping company Carl C.D. Krabbenhöft acquired the ship until it was confiscated by the Portuguese marine in 1916 and served as a Portugese marine training vessel for 46 years until 1962. After a thorough restoration the ship finally dropped its anchor at the Landungsbrücken in Hamburg in 1983. Since then it is considered one of Hamburg’s most spectacular museums and a great location to stage an event. In the hulk of the “Rickmer Rickmers” you will find a restaurant and two event rooms which in total allows for event sizes between 25 and 250 people. The three rooms can be interconnected or they are used individually.

Offer your guests a true Hamburg experience with a maritime touch at a “Captain’s Dinner” or with a pirate-themed party on board of the Rickmer Rickmers.
