Torchlight walk in wintry Hamburg

Torchlight walk as a Christmas walk

The torchlight walk is a wonderful way to experience the festively illuminated city of Hamburg during the cold and dark season. On this special tour, you can not only get some exercise in the fresh air, but also enjoy the wintry atmosphere of the city in a very special way.

You start at the main entrance to the imposing town hall and are accompanied by an experienced guide through the enchanting old town. As you stroll through the festively decorated streets, you will pass the Patriotic Society and admire the Vierländer Brunnen fountain. A highlight of the walk is Hamburg’s oldest street, where the famous Seven Sisters – an ensemble of historic office buildings – await you. Here you have the opportunity to fortify yourself with a warming mulled wine and delicious gingerbread.

After this short break, we continue on our way past the picturesque Mäuseturm tower before entering the fascinating Speicherstadt warehouse district. This historic warehouse complex is particularly atmospherically lit and offers an impressive sight at dusk. The modern HafenCity, where traditional Hamburg flair is combined with contemporary architecture, is also part of our route.

The tour ends either at Baumwall or in a restaurant of your choice, where you can round off the evening in a cosy atmosphere. This unforgettable torchlight tour lasts around two hours and promises not only interesting insights into Hamburg’s history, but also convivial moments in a festive atmosphere.

The price includes the city guide and a torch for every third person in your group. You can also look forward to two glasses of mulled wine per person and the sweet treat of gingerbread – perfect for an atmospheric evening during Advent!

The torchlight walk lasts approx. 2 hours.
